The SAGA Endowment Fund was established in 2002 with the initial bequest from Mary Coles Michell. In 2006 the BC Arts Renaissance Fund awarded matching funds to arts organizations who were building an endowment fund. Directors and volunteers worked hard writing letters and soliciting funds from any and all sources to take full advantage of this temporary program, and were able to build the fund significantly over the next two years. Interest generated from this fund is directed toward exhibition programming, which includes the educational school tour program and special events or workshops associated with each exhibition.

Salmon Arts Centre

Shuswap District Arts Council acknowledges it carries out its work on the traditional territories of the Secwepemc People. We pay our respects to the Elders, past and present, descendants and custodians of these lands. We honour the knowledge keepers and the continuing relationships with Secwepemc Peoples in the BC interior. The Arts Council is grateful to the Neskonlith First Nations, on whose traditional territories we operate the Arts Centre and its programs.
