Income available for distribution from the Fund, as determined by the Directors of the Foundation, will be disbursed annually, in the name of the Fund, as follows: The income will be paid to the Trustees of the Salmon Arm College Scholarship Fund (the “Trustees”) to award at least one bursary, to students at the Salmon Arm campus of Okanagan College, or its successor, (the “College”) selected by the Scholarship Committee of the College (the “Committee”) who is a single parent and who is enrolled at the Salmon Arm Campus of Okanagan College in any discipline or field of study. Alternatively, the bursary may be provided to any person pursuing a career in the Culinary Arts or Horticulture. The Trustees will ensure that the students chosen by the Committee demonstrate financial need. Prior to the payment of any bursary, the recipient will provide the Committee and the Trustees with confirmation of registration. Any bursary awarded from the Fund must be claimed within one year of the date of the award. The Trustees may, in their discretion, increase the amount and the number of bursaries to be paid if the income from the Fund so warrants.
