Our Stories

The Shuswap Association for Community Living has been providing services and support for people with intellectual disabilities and their families since 1963. Although the majority of clients are 19 or over, they provide services to some youth as well.

RJ Haney Heritage Village and Museum is a 40-acre park owned by the City of Salmon Arm and operated by the Salmon Arm Museum and Heritage Association. The facility is used by residents of Salmon Arm and area and tourist traveling to the area as a heritage tourist destination.

During Canada 150, the 150th anniversary of our Confederation, Canadians came together and celebrated what it means to be Canadian. SCF Provided funding for numerous activities surrounding this Country-wide celebration thorough partnerships with the Government of Canada and Community Foundations of Canada.

Unplug and Play is a week-long series of free family events that promote unplugging from technology and spending time together as a family and takes place each year during Family Literacy Week. Shuswap Community Foundation is a long-term supporter of Unplug and Play week.
