This year, twenty charities will receive grants for projects ranging from lifesaving first aid equipment and medical travel to camp drainage repairs, building an imagination library, animal spay/neuter programs, and Search & Rescue Boat upgrades. In late summer of 2023, the Bush Creek Wildfire ravaged communities in the North Shuswap area, 235 structures were lost, more than 45,000 hectares burnt, and countless lives were impacted. This is the story of how the community came together to support neighbours and help rebuild the impacted areas.

Shuswap Community Foundation is proud to announce that the Shuswap Cardiac Society has been awarded a grant from the Canadian Medical Association’s Health Care Unburdened Grant program. This grant will support initiatives aimed at reducing administrative burdens for healthcare providers, allowing for more patient-focused care.

Shuswap Community Foundation is partnering with the Government of BC’s Community Prosperity Fund to fund local projects and programs that address community needs to advance poverty reduction and social inclusion. Application Deadline is June 15th, 2024.

Community Grants in Aid offer funding to 19 groups in the Shuswap through an annual collaboration with the City of Salmon Arm.

The rain held off and 24 non-profit organizations from around the Shuswap participated in A Gathering of Gratitude on June 4.
