The Carter Kosick Memorial Fund, created by his family through Shuswap Community Foundation, honors Carter’s dedication to hard work and adventure.

Prior to his passing, Carter was pursuing the trade of Instrumentation and had been working as an apprentice in the oil and gas industry for just over a year in Northern British Columbia. He was set to start the schooling portion of his trade after his next shift. He was an instrumental piece of the family beef farm and was an active 4H member. He spent time around the family gravel business which also gave him experience in mining.

In memory of his “work hard” experience, the main objective of the Carter Kosick Memorial Fund is to providing annual bursaries in British Columbia for those individuals pursuing a career in the trades, agriculture, oil and gas or mining industries.

Carter Kosick Memorial Society

The member-funded, not-for-profit Carter Kosick Memorial Society allows Carter’s family to raise funds through fundraising efforts such as raffles, silent auctions and apparel sales as well as donations* from its members.  The purpose of these funds is to give back to the recreational activities Carter was passionate about with a focus on youth.

Whether its 4H, dirt biking or snowmobiling, among other outdoor activities, the Society is working to partner with established local clubs that share our passion and to assist their efforts to promote youth safely accessing the beautiful BC backcountry which became Carter’s second home.
