Income available for distribution from the Fund, as determined by the directors of the Foundation, will be disbursed annually at the discretion of the directors to award one or more grants in the name of the Fund to charitable or community service not-for-profit organizations operating in the Shuswap area.
For greater specificity, income generated from this Fund shall be used for the purposes of supporting and promoting animal welfare in the Shuswap. The specific purposes for which this gift may be used include, but are not limited to:
- Providing food, shelter, and medical care for animals in need.
- Supporting animal rescue and rehabilitation programs.
- Funding spay and neuter initiatives to control the animal population.
- Promoting humane education and advocacy for animal welfare.
